Start-Ups in Life Science Tools

Description:
The attendees will be split into teams and given a set of tasks to work on and present them. Mark will catalyse discussion and encourage different participants to share experiences as well as give his own perspective after 25 years of building lab on a chip-based companies.

The primary topics will be around starting a company, writing a business plan, raising finance and then getting a product developed, launched and sold. Beyond this exiting from the company by selling it to a corporation.

The take aways should be where some large pitfalls are and how to ensure you succeed instead of the high percentage failure which is the norm.

Objectives:
Anyone involved in a start-up, thinking about a start-up or with a failing start-up who wants to either avoid problems or work out how to get out of a tricky situation that they may be in.
