Rose Garden at the Botanic Gardens

Experience the full delight of Australia with our Taste of Australia Reception in the Rose Garden of the Botanic Gardens. Feel the grass beneath your feet, the sun on your face, and taste the unique flavors of Australia. Locally sourced and flavored Tuna, Wallaby and Emu, seasoned with endemic herbs and spices, and paired with locally produced wines, beer and hand-crafted sodas. Finish the night dancing under the stars with friends. You won’t just be in Australia, you’ll be Australian!



Cleland Tour
Cleland Wildlife Park
Thursday Afternoon

After the last session, close out the MicroTAS conference with a trip to Cleland Wildlife Park. Feed the Kangaroos, go eye to eye with an Emu, talk to the Cockatoos, and of course, see that special K! You’ll have 2 hours to experience Australian animals up close, with a boxed lunch provided upon arrival at Cleland. We’ve negotiated a special price for a special experience – so join in with your conference friends and make this a conference you’ll never forget!

Wine Tasting Tour
Local Vineyards
Thursday Afternoon
Adelaide is recognized as one of the Great Wine Capitals around the world, and if you like wine, then a trip to a local vineyard has to be on your visiting card. Cool off after an intense few days of conference life with a tour to several local vineyards to sample their latest vintage – most of which you can only buy in Australia. Make sure you leave some room in your luggage for that special treat to enjoy back home. Subject to minimum number requirement.

Bushranger Survival Course CANCELLED

Do you know how to survive in the Aussie outback? Shelter? Food? Water? Warmth? Join for a day packed with information on how to survive in the wild. Bus pickup from the Conference venue in the morning, return in the afternoon, and a barbecue lunch included. Subject to minimum number requirement.

Indigenous Day with Southern Cultural Immersion
Wednesday
The Aboriginal culture of Australia is the longest continuous culture in the world – spanning over 65,000 years. Spend a day at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, to learn and experience indigenous Australian culture first-hand. Learn about the history, the importance of country, song, dance and art. Bus pickup will be from the conference venue in the morning and returning in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided. Subject to minimum number requirement.
